Getting Caught Up

Ryan really likes to "help" me at the computer these days and thus my posts have been VERY infrequent. I'm braving it at the moment, inspired by several dear friends who have returned to their neglected blogs as well.
Katie and Ryan in their new Easter clothes. Katie selected this dress herself, because it was pink and had flowers. This was one of the more simple dresses and also the least expensive. Katie explained that the fancy dresses were "too poofy". That's fine by me! This was a much more practical find!
This is one of my favorite pictures of Sean and Ryan. I came home and found Ryan asleep on his dad's lap.
The final two pictures are from our Saturday outing to Frying Pan Farm. We had a great time and the weather was beautiful! Ryan especially loved telling us what each animal says.

Quick Pics

The kids love Max. He must enjoy them too, he's always coming back for more "loving".
(Yes, Ryan is petting Katie)
Ryan, not a baby anymore. Here he models his hand-me-down Carolina shirt.
I remember when Katie wore this.

It's all about Love! Katie was heading to a Valentine's Party at school.

A Ballerina

I forgot to post a picture of our new ballerina. Katie started ballet lessons with her best friend, Lacy a few weeks ago. Here is Katie before her first ballet class.

Let it Snow!!

This past weekend we took a family trip to visit our friends, the Kings, in Pennsylvania. We had a wonderful time finally meeting their little boy, Simon. (He's 7 months old) When we first arrived it was warm outside but they still had snow on the ground from the previous weekend. We had a good time building a snow man, teaching Katie about snow angels and finding out that Ryan is truly a Florida boy and has no tolerance for the snow, let alone for mittens or hats. We also got to go to Penn State to the Berkey Creamery for some yummy, fresh ice-cream. I guess Katie brought some snow back with her because yesterday morning we had a light dusting and today we've been watching a beautiful snowfall for several hours already. The grass is almost covered, the evergreens look beautiful with their white tips. I took the kids out for a winter walk while snow was falling... I think Katie would have stayed out all day, but Ryan took one look, demanded to be picked up and cried the rest of the walk. Now Katie is enjoying hot chocolate, Ryan's happy with a scrambled egg, and I can finally post a few pictures from PA.

Revisiting Christmas

Okay, so I got a little bit behind with the blog. I've gotten into Facebooking and so I just seem to post everything there. The blog takes longer and I also find myself overthinking every word of a post. Don't wanna get too whiny or whatever... plus after reading so many wonderful blogs I feel a bit intimidated that my posts aren't nearly as entertaining or interesting. However, I know I have a few friends/family members who check here for pictures of the kids, so without further ado, here are some Christmas time pictures.
