Sliderz

Between bouncing and sliding with Katie myself, and holding Ryan there wasn't a lot of opportunity for snapping pictures. However, here are three pictures from the party. You can see Daddy and Katie jumping, cousin BreAnna, Daddy and Katie sliding and a picture of Katie's cake. She requested pink roses and she got them!

Happy Birthday (Part 2)

We had a fabulous day together yesterday and Katie really enjoyed her Sliderz party. Almost everyone from her class was able to make it as well as some other family friends and family too! I actually had a moment this morning to upload pictures so here is our birthday girl at age 3.

We had taken Katie to the doctor on Thursday for her 3 year check-up and she has definately grown since 2005! She was born weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces, now she's up to 29 pounds. She was 18 1/2 inches at birth and is now 37 inches. This puts her in the 50th percentile for height and weight... but I must say that in our eyes Katie is anything but average!!

Happy Birthday

Today Katie turned three. It's hard to believe that 3 years has passed since our little girl entered the world. Such a sensitive, caring, fun-loving child. Looking forward to many more years!

Since I haven't gotten pictures uploaded recently and have fallen a bit behind in the posts (the explanation for which will take another post itself), I thought it would be fun to use a picture of Katie on her birthday - back in 2005!

Katie and Sam

This is one of Katie's best friends, Sam. We've been getting them together almost weekly (except for a brief hiatus when Ryan was first born) since we moved back to Florida. The other day we were out and asked the kids to throw away our cups. Seeing them walking side by side each with a cup of coffee and a kitten, we just knew it was a great photo op!

After lunch the kids were walking down the sidewalk and just naturally started holding hands... I know that Sam is quite a ladies man so I'm not getting too excited about the future, but they sure are cute huh?!

Where We've Been

I know, it's been awhile since the last post. After our wonderful visit with Barry and Mindy we celebrated Easter - He IS Risen!! and the next day my parents came for a visit from N.C..

Katie and Ryan loved playing with Grandma and Grandpa on our playground and exploring Florida. We went to Black Hammock and saw gators sunbathing in nature. We also went strawberry picking at Pappy's Patch.

This week has been used to try to get back to normal, whatever that may be... it's amazing to me how some days I just feel so overwhelmed when just the day before I felt like my "To Do" List was do-able. Today I just feel tired and ready for the weekend, it's almost here!
